Trappeto Railway Station
Trappeto station is located on the Palermo-Trapani via Alcamo railway line, operated by Trenitalia (Ferrovie dello Stato Group). The station is in the heart of the village, just a few minutes walk from Ciammarita beach and the seafront.
Connection to Palermo
Trappeto is about 45 minutes from Palermo Centrale by Trenitalia regional trains. Services run frequently (every 1-2 hours) and tickets cost just a few euros. It's the most convenient way to reach Sicily's capital without a car, avoiding the A29 motorway traffic.
Connection to Trapani
Heading west, the line continues to Trapani (about 1 hour 20 minutes), passing through Castellammare del Golfo and Alcamo. From Trapani you can easily reach Erice, the Salt Flats and the port for the Egadi Islands (Favignana, Levanzo, Marettimo).
Long-Distance Trains
To reach Rome, Naples or other mainland cities, take a regional train to Palermo Centrale and then an Intercity or high-speed train. The Trappeto-Rome journey takes about 10-12 hours with a change in Palermo. Alternatively, from Palermo Punta Raisi airport (reachable by train) you can fly to all major Italian cities.
